Rosais is a civil parish in the municipality of Velas in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. Although the 2001 statistics have identified approximately 800 residents in the parish, estimates from 2003 show 1123 people living in the parish (with an area of 24.44 km²; density of , its density is 33.6/km² and ).

Geography

The frontier of the civil parish extends to the northwestern coast of the island of São Jorge, Ponta dos Rosais, São Jorge

The parish of Rosais is located on the island of São Jorge and extends approximately 7 kilometres from Figueiras to Ponta. It encompasses approximately 820 inhabitants.
