Gold medal – first place 1936 Berlin 4×200 m freestyle relay

Shigeo Sugiura (杉浦 重雄, Sugiura Shigeo) (born 10 May 1917, in Shizuoka - April 10, 1988) was a Japanese freestyle swimmer. He won gold medal for the Men's 4×200 m freestyle relay in the 1936 Summer Olympics, alongside Masanori Yusa, Masaharu Taguchi, and Shigeo Arai.
