The Sony FE 28mm F2 is a full-frame wide-angle lens for Sony FE mount, announced by Sony on March 4, 2015.[1][2] Though designed for Sony's full frame E-mount cameras, the lens can be used on Sony's APS-C E-mount camera bodies.

The lens suffers from mild barrel lens distortion and moderate vignetting when at f/2.0 (which can be resolved by stopping down to f/2.8). The lens also excells at low-light photography given its fast maximum aperture of f/2.0.

Sony manufactured two lens convertors made exclusively for the FE 28mm lens: a 21mm F2.8 ultra-wide angle and a 16mm F2.8 fisheye. Both lens convertors contain internal electronics that transmit corrected EXIF data to the camera body when a photo is taken. However, neither convertor can accept lens filters.

This lens is often compared with the Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN lens due to its similar focal length, fast maximum aperture, and sharp image quality.
