Sun Xin was a military general of Eastern Wu during the late Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. He was a great-grandson of Sun Qiang (孫羌), the older brother of Sun Jian (father of Eastern Wu's founding emperor Sun Quan). It is known that during the Conquest of Wu by Jin, Sun Xin cried out in disbelief, "Did the Jin army fly down the Yangtze River?". Following this event Sun Xin was defeated by Zhou Zhi.
