Tabb Middle School is a middle school in Tabb, an unincorporated community in York County, Virginia, United States.
The school is located on 300 Yorktown Road and is just down the street from Tabb High School, Mt. Vernon Elementary School, and Tabb Elementary School. The school is operated by the York County School Division. The school mascot is the Tiger, (it used to be the Trojan) and their colors are orange, black, and white. Tabb's rival is Grafton Middle School.
In the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year, Dr. Barry Beers, the longtime principal of Tabb Middle School, retired to pursue other interests in his life. He was eventually replaced by assistant principal, Arthur Layne, for the remainder of the school year. Susan Rhew has taken Beers' place as principal of Tabb Middle School for the 2007-2008 school year.
Tabb Middle School has been selected as a 2005 School to Watch by the Virginia Middle School Association. [1]
Tabb was one of the winners of the 2006 Marine Design Challenge (Middle School) of the Technology Student Association[2], and its building is profiled as an ENERGY STAR building.[3]
