About?[edit]

The number 14 may have been picked based on the length of Stradlin and Rose's friendship, but the notion that the song was about their friendship doesn't make sense. It's obviously about a relationship gone sour. If their friendship had gone that sour at the time the song was recorded, they'd have never appeared on stage together to perform it.
