Dirty Harry connection[edit]

As it stands, no mention is made in the article to the connection with a similar (but fictional) crime depicted in the 1971 film Dirty Harry. The article on the film contain references to the fact that the criminals were inspired by watching the film. I think readers might like to know about this connection. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.175.242.16 (talk) 19:00, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Parole recommendation referred to full board[edit]

I haven't seen it in the news yet, but on July 21, Governor Newsom referred the matter of Woods's parole for review by the entire board. If you use the California Inmate Locator to look up Woods (CDCR no. B90399) and click through to "View Board of Parole Hearings' actions', you'll see the notation for July 21, 2022: "The Governor referred the inmate’s parole grant for review by the full board".

I view lookups like this as too WP:OR to support a change to the article, but keep an eye out to see whether the referral, or the full board's decision, makes citable news. TJRC (talk) 23:29, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
