Significant revision of article for WikiProject Military history's April 2018 Military History Backlog Drive[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

Just completed a major revision of this article. In addition to adding citations for the existing content (much of which was uncited), I added a significant amount of new content with appropriate citations (mentions of the regiment in newspaper articles of the period, etc.), improved the formatting and structure by adding a new section for External Resources, and added a public domain image of an 1861 recruitment flyer used by regimental leaders. I also upgraded the article's classification from Start to C-Class, noting that the article also meets each of the B-Class criteria (B1 through B6). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47thPennVols (talkcontribs) 23:36, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
