723rd Tank Battalion[edit]

Was doing research on 747th Tank Battalion and discovered that it was redesignated 723rd and assigned to the 71st Inf Div. Worthy of adding to the 71st's history, esp. since it was based outside Alaska. Its activation/deactivation dates coincide perfectly with the 71st's dates. Am not quite finished with the 747th history, so link is currently a red link. Also explains why it says 723rd but the wikilink is to the 747th.
