Seems like the standard was not written in 1955, because here (http://www.allmusic.com/album/sonny-stitt-bud-powell-jj-johnson-mw0000203790) and also in the orginial album's page on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonny_Stitt/Bud_Powell/J._J._Johnson) is claimed that this standard was included in the album which was recorded between 1949 and 1950.

I think the first album which "Afternoon in Paris" was included in should be noted (again - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonny_Stitt/Bud_Powell/J._J._Johnson)
Can anyone confirm or refute these information?
