Race Distance[edit]
This race was formerly run over a distance of 2 miles 5 1/2 furlongs. It was certainly run over that trip when Monksfield dead-heated with Night Nurse in 1977, and also when Aonoch won in 1987 but I can't find a reference to when the distance changed to the present 2m4f.
