One of the first composers in America?[edit]

I find it hard to believe that he is one of the first composers in America, since he wasn't born until about 150 years after the first landing at Jamestown. Can that be verified somewhere? 155.213.224.59 (talk) 18:46, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
