Actually, Ogston did not named the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, but only Staphylococcus ! It is later, in 1884, that Anton Julius Friedrich Rosenbach diferenciate 2 strains that he named Staphylococcus aureus, due to it's golden colour, and Staphylococcus albius Benjo21 (talk) 13:53, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
