UDID Leak[edit]

Today an IP Editor removed information about AllClear ID's alleged link to the September 2012 Apple iOS UDID leak. I have just restored this information. AllClear ID was (apparently incorrectly) reported by at least one major media source (The Guardian) meeting Wikipedia's credible source guidelines as having been the source of the UDID leak. It is appropriate to acknowledge this in an encyclopedia article about the company, just as its appropriate to acknowledge the company's denial of the allegation. This is why I've restored the information to the article.

I'm not affiliated with the company or any of its competitors. In fact, I'd never heard of AllClear ID before yesterday. I'm not trying to defame the company or spread false information. Quite the contrary, I'm trying to make Wikipedia a reliable source of information.

If another editor disagrees with the inclusion of this material, please comment on this talk page so we can discuss. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.176.69.183 (talkcontribs) 08:17, 6 September 2012‎
