Gold? WTF[edit]

Gold as an allergen? Isn't that a little bit far-fetched? Should that maybe read "Gold Alloys", because some alloys of gold do provoke allergies. Zaphraud (talk) 23:25, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Quoting from the article: "Gold metal was voted Allergen of the Year in 2001 by the American Contact Dermatitis Society. Consider for deletion[edit]

This is an award given by a non-notable institution. If the institution is not noteworthy, I find it hard to believe that the award is.TheThomas (talk) 16:17, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
