Basset[edit]

The album credits show "bassett" as one of the instruments that Vyacheslav Ganelin plays. This article links to shawm, one of the meanings of basset(t), although I am thinking that it instead refers to the Hohner Basset, a keyboard bass. I think this would account for the legato(?) bass sounds heard throughout the album. I don't have a source for this, although the credits for another Ganelin Trio album, Vide, suggest that "Basset" indeed refers to a keyboard (and Nat Hentoff described Ganelin's use of a keyboard bass). -- Gyrofrog (talk) 23:29, 7 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
