Untitled[edit]

I agree that the newly created Maxroxx Music entry may be viewed as having a conflict of interest with Andrew Kahn's Wikipedia entry. MaxRoxx Music is comprised of well-established music professionals. As a collaborative team, MaxRoxx Music may therefore not have credibility to have its own presence on Wikipedia. As a member of that team, I understand that the MaxRoxx Music page may be viewed as a promotional vehicle for themselves. This was not the intent when the MaxRoxx Music page was created. The legitamacy of MaxRoxx Music's affiliation with the song Hot Shot by Karen Young was the reasoning behind creating a new Wikipedia entry for itself. Andrew Kahn's sources remain verifiable and indicate authentic high-level accomplishments in music and philanthropy. MaxRoxx Music is a newly-formed organization and therefore may be viewed as not having yet established itself as a qualified Wikipedia entry. I apologize for stepping beyond the guidelines with regard to Wikipedia's neutrality parameters. If MaxRoxx Music's achievements do not warrant its own inclusion in Wikipedia, I suggest that it be deleted. The presence of Andrew Kahn on Wikipedia, however, remains authentic, with legitimate and verifiable sources to back up such an established presence. Ask752 17:47, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability and COI[edit]

The notability here is questionable. Most of the info in this article is non-notable and thus completely inappropriate for Wikipedia. Plus, it seems that Andy Kahn is the main contributor to this article -- a clear conflict of interest. That explains why the article reads like a mundane resume. The only notable thing in this bio is the co-writing and producing of the song "Hot Shot." But even that fact isn't sourced.

If this article isn't cleaned up in the next couple of days, I'm going to start slashing it down to a four-five sentence stub -- which is the appropriate size for this kind of article. ask123 (talk) 16:43, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative Medicine[edit]

I deleted the tag on this talk page for the WikiProject Alternative Medicine (start class tag). This article seems to have nothing to do with alternative medicine. ask123 (talk) 16:45, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Resume[edit]

Article cleaned up, deleting extraneous, resume-like material and leaving factual information not reflecting personal POV. New sources relevant to this article were added. Thank you for pointing out content problems within this article. comment added by Ask752 (talkcontribs) 14:27, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The effort is appreciated, but the notability of the subject (you?) is questionable. You are almost the only editor here, and I am led to believe that you are writing about yourself -- a practice that is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. I personally believe that this page qualifies for deletion. Please see NOTABILITY and AUTOBIOGRAPHY for the guidelines on these subjects that have been reached through community consensus. ask123 (talk) 21:18, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Also, regarding the resume issue, the article still resembles a C.V. Wikipedia articles are supposed to be prose, not lists. The "resume effect" here is compounded by the fact that the subject is not "notable" according to the Wikipedia definition of that word. Again, please refer to NOTABILITY for the Wiki rules governing this area. Cheers, ask123 (talk) 21:22, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Source needed please[edit]

ASK752, Please provide a source from Billboard magazine showing that the song reached #1 nationally. Jazz Times and the Atlantic City Weekly aren't sufficient in my book. They are a good start, but what's really needed is a more direct citation. My previous search showed "Hot Shot" as #1 in Philadelphia only. However, I did not do an exhaustive search. But I presume you know where to look. Your contribution would be appreciated. Thank you. ask123 (talk) 20:07, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
