Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted because... --Andy Anderson 14:47, 22 April 2011 (UTC) Andy Anderson is a Valid entry and real person with a career in music and his career and acheivements have credible references already listed on Wiki regarding his career, awards and acheivments.

He may be a real person, but there is nothing that proves he is important enough to warrant an article about him on Wikipedia -Mrmatiko (talk) 14:50, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
To survive CSD A7 an article need only indicate why the subject is important, not prove it. In my opinion winning 4 dove awards does that. However the article still needs to be brought up to the minimum standards for WP:BLP, and standing alone the awards may or may not be enough to establish notability.
