Untitled[edit]

An image of coin with the title "Son of Maues" is unavailable AFAIK, but it was published by the Oriental Numismatic Society [1] by R C Senior in 1999.

There is IMHO little reason to believe that the two were related. No Greek king has to my knowledge struck a similar coin - Artemidoros merely expresses reverence, in a style similar to the Confucian hegemony which was certainly known to the nomads. ("I am your grandfather!" was quite an insult in classic China). The regnal date has to be adjusted accordingly, though only with 5 years which of course is a minor change given the general insecurity for all datings. --Sponsianus 23:50, 17 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
