Astair Airlines or INTERAVIA?

I have recently read a press release from August 16, 2006 on Russia Newswire. The article states that INTERAVIA airline was founded in early 2005 based on the former AstAir airline. INTERAVIA subsequently began service from Domodedovo International Airport in July 2005. The article also lists information about two flight numbers for INTERAVIA. Both use the IATA designator ZA (which according to the article is utilized by Astair Airlines).

Based on this information it seems that the article needs a major rework. It is probably best done with two articles (the existing article for the apparently defunct Astair Airlines and a new article for INTERAVIA).

The following points should be noted:

• The article on Astair Airlines should be modified for consistency with the articles of other defunct airlines.

• In the press release, the name of the airline is spelled as AstAir. The use of the capitalized word Airlines or Airline is not used in the press release. The correct name should be ascertained and the article updated accordingly.

• The destination cities for INTERAVIA are completely different than those of Astair and should be incorporated into the new article.

• The composition of the fleet for INTERAVIA is somewhat different and should be updated.

Elista as Destination

According to the Wikipedia article, the small regional airport in Elista was shutdown by aviation authorities in the fall of 2006. This appears to occur after Astair Airlines ceased operations but may affect the destinations list of INTERAVIA. Leeannedy 23:09, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
