"A child of an incestuous relationship was superstitiously thought likely to be deformed"

Actually, a child born from a endogamic relationship really has a great chance of suffer from genetic anomalyes, "deformities" indeed.

(It can sounds weird, cause I'm not a English language native speaker.

"Incest in those days was a very serious and scandalous offence;"

It still is! 124.187.103.188 10:07, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Medora[edit]

The majority of this article seems to be about Medora Leigh rather than the subject. Would it make sense to merge much of the Medora section into the Elizabeth Medora Leigh article? - Scribble Monkey (talk) 15:09, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Extremely confusing[edit]

I totally agree with the previous commentator, about "Medora". Only, it is much worse: not only does Medora - who already has her own article (so a link would have been more than enough) - occupy most of the article, but after the paragraph discussing Medora there is no further discussion about Augusta herself. We don't even get to learn when, where or how she died (I mean, from the body of the text). There is no discussion whatsoever about the later life of her, who is the subject of the article. This absolutely should be amended ASAP. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.142.40.110 (talk) 16:05, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So do I totally agree. What's more it means that a lot of information about Medora herself is not on hr page. PhilomenaO'M (talk) 14:56, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
