My article![edit]

(Moved from main article) Dude I totally started this article. This addition will, and I suppose probably should, be deleted, but I ask that you guys leave this in for a little while at least. I did start this article and I don't know the proper way to write a wikipedia article, as you can see if you peruse my original version (don't ask me why I put my e-mail in there, not sure myself) but I find it pretty damn cool that something I created has grown and morphed into something better, and that's saying something coming from me cuz I generally don't give a f*** about anything. And do check out the "real sh**" version of the article, totally true what he said, despite lacking a bit in eloquence. --216.165.38.79

Removed final paragraph[edit]

I removed the final article paragraph because it seemed somewhat "pro-barback" outside of the objective description of the profession. If others feel that the removed final paragraph is appropriate, I'd love to discuss it here. Summoned 07:25, 18 October 2007 (UTC)im a barback and proud marine, semper fi[reply]

Does this article really need expansion and references?[edit]

This is a perfectly good and adequate discussion of what a barback does. It need not be marked "stub." Nor does it require criticism on the ground of not including any references. What kinds of references could one find? On bartending in general, and on the mechanics of running a bar, sure, there are plenty of books. But not on the subject of "barback." In this regard, a search of Amazon books did nothing to dispel my assumption. There are no books about how to be a barback. Dratman (talk) 04:18, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Outstanding article (this coming from someone who was very recently a barback)-- not much more to say. I will say, however, that the legal age to be a barback in WV is 18 as is the bartending position.--Ijnixon (talk) 00:49, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
