Early use of steam warships[edit]

Apparently this battle was the second instance of steam warships engaging in combat. [1] heqs 13:29, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Killing of Prisoners[edit]

I remember reading an account that mentioned the Canadian militia were shooting prisoners that had surrendered and they had to be stopped by a regular officer. Looking at the listed casualties this would make sense how men in a fortified position could take much higher than the attackers. 100.0.196.219 (talk) 15:10, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox "Result"[edit]

Please note that Template:Infobox military conflict#Parameters states against "result" that "this parameter may use one of two standard terms: "X victory" or "Inconclusive"." The infobox has been amended to reflect this. Please read the template "result" guidance in full before amending or reverting. It would probably be best to discuss any proposed change here first to seek consensus. Thanks. Gog the Mild (talk) 16:10, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
