Birth date and place.

Just thought I'd put this up just in case of any future edit wars and such. While most (unreliable) sources claim that his birth year is 1988, there has been no official/reliable secondary source providing this. Instead what I found to calculate his birth year was with the use two sources:

guitarworld.com - States that he left Dubai in 2008.
peavey.com - States that he left Dubai at age 17.

Ones you have those numbers: 2008 - 17 = 1991, the year which he was born in. If there are any doubts or you have found new information to tackle this then please share below. Thank you. SilentDan297 talk 15:58, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Dispute on birth year

Before you go on please view the introduction to this section to the reasoning to as why I believed he was born in 1991.

Recently I have found only one source confirming that Ben Bruce, as of 2014 now is 25 from ultimate-guitar.com. Right now I think this source is unreliable, but I would like to hear the opinions of others before I either amend the article according to this source or if we should ignore it due to unreliability. Finally, the crucial point is: Ben has recently started a new tattoo which cites the year of his birth. It says that he's here "since 1988".

I don't think either of these are reliable enough to use in this article, his birthday is coming up soon so perhaps he will release a statement soon confirming his birth date. SilentDan (talk) 11:49, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

Hazzah! I finally found a reliable source for the year, Kerrang! magazine recently released a semi-christmas special which Ben says: "I'm 26 now and I don't want to join the 27 Club of dead rock stars like Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix..." so being 26 this year means he was born in 1988! F***ing finally! Will be adding this in now! CASE CLOSED! SilentDan (talk) 16:43, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
