Article name and info[edit]

Well it's great that we finally got this article. However, I think that since wikipedia is not a dictionary, the article ought to have info on hook clamps and the 3rd kind that can go flush against a ceiling (read about it in a stage lighting textbook) and rename the article something like stage lightoing intrument clamps or somthing like that. Maybe just Clamp (stagecraft), we use them for more than just lighting fixtures, after all. It might be worthwhile to mention that "regular" c-clamps are also used (like for attaching platforms), in addition to the stage lighting model. Thoughts? --starX 14:01, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps 'pipe clamp' would cover all of this, and maybe even be able to include cheseburoughs and the like. IMO, C-Clamp is kind of a misnomer anyway, a c-clamp is bottom middle at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Clamps.jpg . 48v (talk) 18:40, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think makeing the article broader is a good idea. I have several hook clamps I can photograph if needed. Leaderofearth 02:35, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
