The discography could be moved to a separate page. Would Carl Anderson be considered a "one hit wonder"

Media?

[edit]

The lede mentions that the media made a lot of his race when he was playing Judas... this doesn't quite need a citation, but some links would be lovely. Polymathematics 09:16, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Scientology

[edit]

My family and I knew Carl and as far as I knew he was very christian, he would send us letters signed with "God bless," etc, as well as an interview I have on tape from 2002 or early 2003 (after the date of the article) of Carl and Sebastian Bach where Carl once again talks about his christian faith, so I went ahead and removed the scientology claim unless someone can find a more reliable source than the one used:

"Anderson was a member of the Church of Scientology and performed at at least one church sponsored function [1]." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.217.230.194 (talk) 20:11, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to Scientology, it's possible to be a Scientologist and something else. Perhaps. With just a mere mention of his name among a list and no significant bio material, the Church of Scientology source is too weak to stand if challenged. (The writer of that page could have been given a list of names and assumed that they were all members of Scientology.) AndroidCat 15:59, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sexuality

[edit]

Please dont take this negatively (NPOV), but I was wondering about Andersons sexuality. Was he straight or gay? Bi? Reason I ask is I see no information about a wife or significant other in this article. I couldn't care less for my own part, but maybe the article could benefit. 83.253.32.171 (talk) 17:52, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Photo of Carl Anderson?

[edit]

I was surprised to see that no photo is offered for this actor.

There is one available on TheMovieDatabase: https://www.themoviedb. org/t/p/w300_and_h450_bestv2/4DIhngRreNcozdXCGWmFyqInXGt.jpg

[Edit: Wikipedia has just drawn to my attention that "themoviedb.org" domain "triggered a protection filter" and that "(typically the root domain name) is currently blocked." You can remove a space after the site name to activate the above link (with the space, it runs to two lines) — which, for reasons unknown, is indeed "currently blocked."]

(Once again, being neither American nor an enthusiast for corporate obsession with litigation, so-called "intellectual property" and ethically questionable NDAs,) I know nothing about copyright law, but I am confident it must cost nothing, morally, financially or legally, to display this widely distributed publicity headshot — one created and freely distributed by him and his publicists with the aim of widespread use? Artists want their headshots out there — and his estate is certain to approve.

If so, is there some way to simply add the URL to Wikipedia, so that it simply displays near the top right of his page?

I've checked Wikipedia, but most of the advice seems to be geered to me uploading my own image. Frankly, I'm not a photographer and, even if I could afford to buy an SLR and a return flight to LA, the artist in question is long dead. Nevertheless, I cannot conceive that he or his estate would be anything but pleased to have the above linked photo displayed on his Wikipedia page.

Grateful for someone who understands to explain to us why it is so hard to upload an artists' publicity photograph — and how, ultimately, to do it.

Update 2024: still no photo of Carl Anderson on this page — which I think sad. There are many articles on him and many photos available on the net. I am going to offer the following URL, in case someone knows how to attach to his page? https://alchetron.com/cdn/carl-anderson-singer-668c33a6-a8d8-4478-a02a-cfe557e8d21-resize-750.jpeg — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eric Colvin (talkcontribs) 07:34, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
