Suggested merge

[edit]

I suggest that this be merged with the other Old Kingdom characters, particularly since there is not really enough information for more than a stub regarding Chlorr herself. Other characters might include Sabriel, Lirael, Terciel, Touchstone, Sameth, Ellimere, Sanar and Ryelle, the Disreputable Dog, Mogget, Kerrigor, and Hedge. The names of the characters included in that comprehensive page would redirect to the correct area in the comprehensive page. Comments? Abhorsen327 13:31, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mistake in the article

[edit]

Hedge gave his bells to Chlorr not the other way around because he had to cross the wall and had no use for them and had an other necromancers hidden away after the fall of Kerrigor —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.100.66.95 (talkcontribs)

Thanks for pointing that mistake out - now that you mention it, I remember that you're correct. I fixed the article to reflect reality more accurately. Next time, consider fixing the mistake yourself: this is a wiki, after all. Thanks, Nihiltres 02:37, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I remember Chlorr being still alive (though very old) in the beginning of Lirael but then killed in the years that were skipped by Sabriel, who failed to bring her to the Ninth Gate. Chlorr would then have returned and became a Greater Dead. Am I indeed wrong here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.55.12.85 (talkcontribs) 31.10.07

Proof:
"Hedge felt the faint flicker of Life inside her, buried deep [...]. She was old [...]. That cold river had a particular taste for those who had evaded its clutches beyond their given span of years." (Lirael, Prologue; p8 in First Harper Eos edition, 2003)
"Yes. Chlorr of the Mask. [...] She was very old, and powerful. [...] I made her walk beyond the Sixth Gate, but I was sorely tired, [...]" (Lirael, Chapter 24; p363-364 in First Harper Eos edition, 2003)
"[...] Chlorr of the Mask, the creature his mother had fought years ago! [...] She was one of the Greater Dead. Sabriel _had_ finished her as a living being. But someone had brought her back." (Lirael, Chapter 42; p649-651 in First Harper Eos edition, 2003)—Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.55.12.85 (talkcontribs) 04.11.07
