Interstitial growth[edit]

"Once [chondroblasts] embed themselves into the cartilage matrix, they grow the cartilage matrix by growing more cartilage extracellular matrix rather than by dividing further."

What about interstitial cartillage growth? Does that not happen precisely by chondrocytes dividing further inside the matrix? 128.214.138.144 (talk) 12:19, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
