Peronsal reasons?

No, "personal reasons".--Darrelljon 21:56, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And what would those personal reasons be? This needs to be expanded. I heard it was from a manic depressive episode.

Writer/producer Bob Gale says here that it was a "substance abuse problem (she's fine now)." TacoDeposit 19:34, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, it read on IMDB that it was because her mother was diagnosed w/ cancer. I think we should keep it "personal reasons" in any case. She's obviouslly very private about that period in her life.

I thought it was the 50-75 extra pounds she packed on in the late 1980s that precluded her from reprising the role.
Seriously, she went from 'thin as a rail' to 'thin as a railroad locomotive'.

People generally don't gain 50-75 pounds unintentionally without some sort of medical problem - whether it be digestion going wrong, side effect of medication, or side effect of coming OFF medication. And lots of causes for such things would fall under 'personal reasons'. 80.42.130.27 (talk) 23:32, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Resemblance to Claudia Christian?[edit]

The article contained this statement:

Wells strongly resembles the TV actress Claudia Christian and, as a result, is sometimes erroneously credited with appearing on Christian's series Babylon 5.

This seems somewhat dubious, as the two actresses look quite different to me, and I couldn't find any evidence of confusion on the web. I've removed it from the article. Feel free to add it back if you can find a reputable source to support this claim.

Fair use rationale for Image:Jennifer 1985.JPG[edit]

Image:Jennifer 1985.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:22, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Related to Simon Wells?[edit]

Is Claudia Wells related to Simon Wells, the writer/producer great-grandson of author H.G. Wells? 173.58.53.212 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 09:29, 21 February 2011 (UTC).[reply]

American?[edit]

There is no facts listed that she was descended from American parents. Just because she grew up in American does not make her "an American actress". What happened to following MOS:BLPLEAD "previous nationalities or the country of birth should not be mentioned in the lead unless they are relevant to the subject's notability"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pirhounix (talkcontribs) 01:34, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
