Merge Articles[edit]

What an utterly horrid idea! The article at Co-operative federation deals with a particular class of organisations (co-operative federations). In contrast, Co-operative federalism is an ideology / school of economic though, espoused by Mitchell, Webb, and others, which advocates consumers co-operatives organised through CWSes as the basis of a Cooperative commonwealth, and stands opposed to the Co-operative individualists, who advocated workers co-operatives and a higher level of control over federal arrangements by Co-operative unions. You can have a Co-operative federation which does not subscribe to Co-operative Federalism. Simialrly, you can be a Co-operative Federalist and stand opposed to certain kinds of Co-operative Federations. - AmishThrasher 10:28, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly. What better place to explain the contrast than in an article that describes both the actual federations and the ideology that inspired their creation? --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 10:44, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm removing the merge tags, as it seems there has been no consensus to make the merge happen. Gobonobo T C 08:43, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
