Redirect[edit]

Shouldn't this redirect be removed? It is a specific species from the family, it needs an article. Dryke (talk) 16:54, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the redirect should be removed. I've now started a (very basic) species page for this well-known fish. RN1970 (talk) 21:44, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merged[edit]

Shouldn't this article be merged with the Lumpsucker article? Both talk about the same fish! 2.51.93.76 (talk) 18:54, 9 May 2013 (UTC)Pushan[reply]

No, they should not be merged. Cyclopterus lumpus is called the lumpsucker, but this is also the common name for the entirely family (which includes Cyclopterus lumpus and some 25 other species). In other words: Cyclopterus lumpus is an article for a specific species. Lumpsucker is an article for the entire family with all its members. 62.107.193.56 (talk) 15:22, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
