Birth details[edit]

FreeBMD returns this entry which has already been linked back to this article with a Postem, dated today: "This is likely the birth record of Diane Chenery-Wickens (born Diane Gina Wickens) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diane_Chenery-Wickens." The existing ref for name and place of birth in the infobox, name="birth", is simply this: "England & Wales, Civil Registration Birth Index, 1916–2007". Could or should this be updated or refined in any way? I'm pretty sure we can't use FreeBMD because it involves user transcriptions of the original records? I'm not sure the BFI source, name="bfi", currently used for year of birth, adds very much, but at least it's a reliable secondary source. Thanks. With regards to reliability, I don't think that there are issues with FreeBMD because while the user transcriptions might not be reliable, the original images are available and would seem to be a reliable source. That being said, it might be preferable to cite the index itself and just use the FreeBMD image as a link. It would be better to have reliable secondary sources but I can't find any for the birth location. The March 2009 episode of Crimewatch does mention that she combined her last name with David's when she married (as does an unusable Daily Mail article). Thanks. Ah ok. So what about this format:[1] Martinevans123 (talk) 12:22, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That seems reasonable. -LewisMCYoutube (talk) 18:18, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, so I have replaced and also moved to the text. Have retained the BFI source and moved also. We can't really be any clearer on date, as all we know is the registration was in the 3rd quarter of 1959. Lambeth may not be entirely accurate either, as that's just the Registration District.
