Seems notable enough ([1]). --Fang Aili talk 20:59, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ack, for some reason the prod did not list my rationale. I am just slightly concerned due to the fact that "Donald Pfluege" yields 26 g-hits, while "Donald H. Pfluege" yields 52. I don't want deletion, I'm just showing concern. Sorry if any offense was take. Yanksox 21:30, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, there is reason for concern. It also smells slightly of copyvio, as do this editor's other contributions. --Fang Aili talk 21:31, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am unsure why you would consider this or any of my other contributions copyright violations. If you have any questions as to the accuracy or ownership of these facts or any other articles that I have submitted please state. Eveningzephyr

About my copyright suspicions, it is a sad fact that most people cannot write that well. The fact that you submitted a full-length article, and that your other contributions are similar, and that all seem to be obscure Californians suggest that you may not have been the author. Please don't take offense; Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Is it possible you're using some information from one of the historical societies in these articles, possibly some panthlets or something from a local museum? If not just say so. --Fang Aili talk 13:48, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If there is copy-vio it's on the sentence level. I randomly cut and paste five passages from this article and it's clean via the google test. Yanksox 04:01, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, check out the amazon link and look at the prices. $750 for a book? Is this a massive text book? Yanksox 04:02, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unsure what the Amazon price for a book has to do with this article. Eveningzephyr

It's just something that I am pointing out. Yanksox 13:20, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Each of my articles have taken several years to research. The two articles on "obscure" authors were both known to me, and the article on the town founder is about distant realitive. I always take great effort to cite others works and photographs. All articles are cafefully proof read. No offense is taken -- these Californians made interesting and valuable contributions and Wikipedia is a great resource for folks looking to learn more about them. It is especially easy to use and can be the start of an in depth web search -- or "gasp" trip to the local library to actually read their books or find other sources of information. I only recently learned of Wikipedia , myself and am still learning how to use it. Eveningzephyr

Categories[edit]

The {{uncat}} tag is there so that other people will put this guy in a category, possibly something like Category:People from California or something like that. There are people who are very active in categorizing articles (and who know more about categories than I do), so this should not take long. Also, categorization helps readers find this article and similar articles. --Fang Aili talk 13:38, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
