In Mart Crowley's play "The Boys in the Band," the character of Emory says how much he loves a particular singer's rendition of "Down in the Depths (On the Ninetieth Floor"), which the character of Michael calls "The f***ot national anthem." (I have used asterisks since the automatic "appropriateness" program will not allow me to quote the line as-written [as I have verified it, from listening to the soundtrack album of the play] because it is on the list of inappropriate language.)
