Replacable Battery[edit]

There is a listing for a battery cover and tool to remove the battery cover at Verizon Wireless' website. While batteries are not being sold, this seems to allude that the battery is user replaceable.

It is not. While I don't have a source on hand, it states clearly in the manual that removing the battery will void the warranty. there is a battery cover removal tool that is included with the phone, to get access to the micro SD card and such, but the battery is physically glued into the phone, and extraordinarily difficult to remove without a heat gun. In the two device I have, the Battery is relatively easy to replace. One has to take of an adhesive film at first, which is covering the battery and some areas around the battery. That can be done by hand easily.Next one needs a small torx screwdriver which is sold together with many of the replacement batteries. The connectors of the battery are screed off. At last one slowly lifts of the battery which - by another double sided adhesive tape - is glued to the shields/heat sinks of the mainboard. Maybe a heat-gun would help, maybe it would damage the battery; it is not needed anyway, just lifting off takes some time and patience, the key is viscosity. Insert the new battery in reverse manner, done! Manorainjan (talk) 22:48, 11 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
