Comment refers to speedy deletion of article when content was "E's ever so good, he's Ebeneezer Goode." Fair and correct deletion as that's apparently nonsense, but of course the song is notable - a controversial number one hit single by a notable band. --kingboyk 20:26, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Lyrics

"Got any salmon?"

The line is far more likely to refer to "salmon roe" or "blow". In the UK, and particularly Scotland, "blow" refers to cannabis rather than cocaine as it does in the US. Gordonjcp (talk) 23:56, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

The TOTP performance...

The punning claim that they made a gratuitous rug reference and replaced Veras with underlay is contradicted by this, a video the show on which they appeared, in which they still say 'Veras.' --It's-is-not-a-genitive 18:51, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

It's possible they performed the song on the show more than once. It's also possible the author got it wrong ("got any underlay?" is on the radio sessions CD, after all). The difficulty is that we merely report what the sources say (WP:NPOV, WP:RS), and that book (apparently) says it was on Top of the Pops.

Trivial? No, really? Indeed there was more than one performance; in this one you can hear 'underlay' [1]. I don't have the Bussman book, but presume it's a more reliable reference than the subject's interview by the Guardian. So the article is fine on this. Now, my pointless suggestion for an improvement, for any muso with the sources, is about the recording. Where is the 'naughty, naughty, very naughty' sample from? Sales retraction

i am under the impression that the band withdrew the single from sales after 4 weeks at number one, which may be worth mentioning, however i cant source this other than the bands own literature from way back in the mid nineties. can anyone help?--Princekilderkin (talk) 02:16, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Beavis and Butt-head, favorable?

Their "commentary" when they watch the video didn't seem particularly favorable to me, mainly Beavis repeating "naughty naughty" over and over in a fake British accent then getting freaked out and screaming at the visuals of the video until he has a seizure.99.130.31.150 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 01:29, 16 May 2010 (UTC).
