Mistaken nationality

[edit]

I have removed all the tags and statements that suggested that Ed Wilson was American, and a film actor. They seem to result from a confusion with other Edward Wilsons (including some characters) . SiGarb | Talk 23:19, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mistakes in obituaries

[edit]

The statements in Ed Wilson's obituaries in The Times and The Independent that he was in The Likely Lads seems to be mistaken: according to his imdb entry he appeared once (uncredited) in a 1990 BBC TV mini-series, confusingly called A Likely Lad, as Lance Bombardier Leslie Ferris.

The confusion probably was increased by the fact that one of the Likely Lads, played by Rodney Bewes, was called Bob Ferris. Even more confusingly, the other Likely Lad, Terry Collier, was played by James Bolam, who starred with Wilson in When the Boat Comes In. SiGarb | Talk 23:19, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
