Patronymic[edit]

The Icelandic name macro assumes that the last name is patronymic - Kvaran is an adopted family name, and Hjörleifsson is the patronymic in this case - he would still be referred to as Einar, though, but the words 'The last name is a patronymic, not a family name' are incorrect in this case. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.221.102.50 (talk) 11:23, 9 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
