Sherwood[edit]

Sherwood was a manufacturer who took a tried and tested product and made it in plastic.

He was not the originator and was not an innovator -others had done this three decades before his company. The original was a simple advert for the company products.

The edits have been changed to reflect the actual history of the endo-tracheal tube.

However I have not the will or the means to locate the historical records to provide the links. They are extremely obscure and hard to find as the British medical societies require large fees to access the dusty books.

However I was a student in Magill's anaesthetic department, worked and trained in his original hospital with medical staff trained directly by him. I've seen the original films of his work and indeed was the chappie who converted them onto video-taped for the unwashed students of medicine to see in the 1990's. There are many, many other products in this catagory.

I'll leave others with access to OVID (health databases) to supply the links.
