I think there is often some confusion over the definition of 'engineering' plastics and 'commodity' plastics. I have rewritten the page to reflect this whilst hopefully respecting the original text.
Removed High Density Polyethylene plastic HDPE from list
(HDPE) - is not an engineering thermoplastic.
- IAPD Education Committee. "Amorphous and Semi-Crystalline Engineering Thermoplastics, Module 4". Basic Plastics Education tutorials. International Association of Plastics Distributors. Retrieved 13 June 2012.
Sorting by properties, quantitative info
The article is rather disappointing. One would expect a specific discussion of the characteristics that make a plastic to be "engineering", with some numbers rather than vague words like "more" or "very". Also the list of plastics should be sorted according to their special properties (e.g. "High-strength plastics", "Heat-resistant plastics", etc. --Jorge Stolfi (talk) 02:36, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
