I suggest, this article mention the Evacuation of East Prussia, because as Nazi governor, Erich Koch was in charge. On orders from Hitler, no evacuations from Germany's eastern provinces toward the West were allowed, and Koch carried out these orders in his province. Repkow (talk) 17:39, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Max Hastings' "Armageddon" discusses this in reasonable detail and should be a suitable source. I'm uncomfortable editing important WWII pages, so I'll defer to a more established editor, however if nothing gets updated over the next few months I may take a stab at it.Westside7777 (talk) 13:05, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Post-war history[edit]

The article states that Koch was captured by the British in 1949, and then extradited to Poland where he was sentenced to death in 1959. What happened in the intervening 10 years? Clarification needed. 1812ahill (talk) 00:42, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sentenced to Death[edit]

If he was sentenced to death in the late 50s but spared because off ill health how then did he live another 30 years? If he was ill shouldn't he of died long before. And if it was illegal in Poland to execute the ill, if he got better later when not execute him when his health recovered. And if he was only kept alive because he may of known about a lost treasure why didn't they kill him after they couldn't find it? As a Riechskommissar neither the Russians or the West or anyone would of protested his execution. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.242.188.52 (talk) 13:14, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Robert Koch a fost un criminal nazist german. El a fost condamnat la moarte de partizanii din Belorusia. Mă bucur că a fost omorât ca un câine turbat. 2A02:2F04:E40B:6800:D507:33B9:AF69:6753 (talk) 16:59, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
