Unheard Guests[edit]

Does anyone not hear Mary Elizabeth Winstead or Mike Patton on tracks 10 & 15? I don't hear their voices at all — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.228.145.233 (talk) 00:23, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is on the chorus in track 10 and Mike Patton has backing vocals in the chrous of 15 that are hard to make out, but definitely there if you're listening for them. Hellephant (talk) 18:22, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's Mary on Agony? All I hear is a high pitched vocal during the chorus — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.228.145.233 (talk) 22:20, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Recording Date[edit]

If I'm not mistaken, this album was recorded between 2004 and 2012. I can't cite specific sources, but I'm pretty sure they're all still cited on the Deltron 3030 page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.168.13.246 (talk) 18:53, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[sic][edit]

Why is Talent Supercedes followed by [sic]? It's correctly spelt as far as I can see. --152.78.218.239 (talk) 14:57, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Supersedes is the preferred spelling, but supercedes has become fairly well recognized as an alternative spelling. Regardless, displaying [sic] for a misspelled song title isn't appropriate because intentional misspellings are common. The sic template is useful, however, just in case somebody thinks it is misspelled and goes to correct it (sometimes bots are used to do this without looking too closely). The sic template makes it clear it's supposed to be spelled that way. Adding the "hide=y" parameter makes it so the template is used but the actual "[sic]" doesn't show up in the article. i.e. {{sic|hide=y|Supercedes}}. Fixed. --— Rhododendrites talk |  16:21, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with your logic here, but not your premises. "Supercede" is widely considered to be a spelling error. For example, Cambridge Dictionary: "supercede is a common misspelling of supersede". Or Merriam Webster: "[Supercede] continues, however, to be widely regarded as an error." I also disagree that the misspelling here is intentional. Cum On Feel The Noize and Coz I Luv You (Slade) are clearly intentional misspellings; Talent Supercedes, not so much. So I've made the sic label visible to reflect this thinking. As a Typo Team spellchecker, this will also make our jobs easier. -- Ghastlyman (talk) 04:51, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
