Non-free use of File:Fairfield University logo.jpeg[edit]

Since File:Fairfield University logo.jpeg is a non-free image and is not a logo specific to the business school itself, it cannot be used in this article per No. 17 of WP:NFC#UUI. After checking the Dolan School's official website and Twitter account it looks the image from the school's Twitter account would satisfy No. 17 of NFC#UUI and could be used instead. - Marchjuly (talk) 17:14, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notable graduates[edit]

I think some kind of inclusion criteria should be establish for this list of "notable graduates". Such criteria should be clear and perhaps a hidden note about it should be added to the beginning of the section. This will help prevent not really "notable" people from being added to the list and turning it into a directory of graduates of the school. For example, a very basic criterion could be that only individuals with their own stand-alone Wikipedia articles are to be included. If non-Wikipedia websites, etc. are being cited, then the connection between the person and the university should be clear per WP:RSCONTEXT. For example, the source provided for Nancy Young clearly says she graduated from Fairfield University (I'm assuming that means the Dolan School of Business in this context), but the sources cited for Robert Cascella, Ed Horne, Peter McDonald, John G. Petti III say no such thing at all. Perhaps there is an official page of the school which lists it's notable alumni? -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:01, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There is an established criterion for inclusion in notable graduates and alumni lists: : only those with a WP article or unquestionably qualified for one can be included. Notable forthese means our standards of notability. I have removed the others. If anyone wants to add them back, first make an article for them.

Even so, the list on the main article for the university should be highly selective--the usual criterion is essentially famous. I haven;t looked at this part yet, but I will. DGG ( talk ) 07:11, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
