This article needs lots of work. I am a retired daily newspaper journalist and native of Folcroft. I still have family there. Folcroft is NOT Latin for anything but in fact Old English. Croft is a field. A crofter was one who worked in meadows. The state town name sign --place by State Historical Society on Chester Pike said "Folcroft: Old English for leafy green meadow. Much of Folcrfot was truck farms and marshes when my family moved there in 1950s. --Bill Wilson Wallingford,PA ````
