I propose that this page be moved to Gavin Hamilton (politician), in favor of the current title. The addition of the title of this Gavin Hamilton is unnessecary and would make this page difficult to locate and link to. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 10:49, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose. No more so than any other peer. Unless, like Bertrand Russell, he is simply never called by his title, WP:NCNT is clear. He is easier to link to when the editors don't have to guess what the page is called, and the pipe trick works for both forms: [[Gavin Hamilton, 2nd Baron Hamilton of Dalzell|]] displays as Gavin Hamilton, just like the parentheses.
