Propose move[edit]

Need to differentiate George Sidney Shepherd from his father George Shepherd (1770-1842).

Oppose According to this source, "George Shepherd" and "George Sidney Shepherd" are actually the same person! If this is the current academic consensus then no change of name is needed. However, a paragraph in the article should explain the change of name and highlight any confusion which may still exist in old sources (eg: DNB 1885-1900 and "Redgrave's Dictionary of Artists") and on the internet.

Just to illustrate the confusion. An Internet search on Google throws up different results for each name - i.e: George Shepherd and George Sidney Shepherd
