Untitled[edit]

It is highly misleading in the list of Characters to name Paul Berlin as Narrator as well as Protagonist. The novel is told in the third person; Berlin is the vehicle for the author's reflections. Likewise, it is highly simplistic to characterize the pursuit of Cacciato as a mere dream. Dreamlike qualities are everywhere in the story but the manner in which they are interwoven is far too subtle to assign the word "dream" as explanation for the return at the end to a significant though ultimately§§ arbitrary point of departure earlier in the story.

Peace sign[edit]

Is that peace sign thing worthy? Is there any proof that it was intentional, or is it just made up. After all, one could say the same thing about the Narnia series- Draw a straight line for the characters' journeys, draw the two branching lines, one for this world and one for the alternate reality, and draw a circle around it due to the events of the last book. I suspect that the peace sign is simply someone reading too much into the novel.
