Mainland segment[edit]

There is a portion of the township on the mainland. See http://www.mcgi.state.mi.us/prfinder/ and zoom in on Alger County near Munising. Using the Identify tool's "Area" mode and click in the area immediately south of Grand Island on the mainland that's separate from Au Train Township to its west and the City of Munising to its south. Among all of the information that will appear, it says "Place: Grand Island". (MDOT drops "Township" from place names.) Imzadi 1979  08:01, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
