Regarding Rolnik and neoliberalism: As per Wikipedia's own entry on Neoliberalism, two of its main hallmarks are deregulation which Rolnik opposed consistently in his writings and “small government” that he stresses in his writing that is not important - but rather quality government . Rolnik consistently wrote against privatization and as far back as 2005 (Hebrew column: https://www.themarker.com/markets/1.317175), Rolnik stressed that privatization will work only if regulation is strong, which was not the case in Israel. More to the point, he is a strong proponent of the Nordic model, which is characterized by fopen, competitive markets, strong regulation and strong social safety nets. (2011 column in English: http://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/business/secrets-of-the-nordic-model-1.403841).
