In addition to being a physician, Fischer-Wright pursued an education in medical practice management. She achieved a Certification in Medical Practice Management from the Medical Group Management Association in 2003, followed by Core Course Curricula from the American College of Physician Executives in 2004. Developing her expertise in the medical practice management industry, she then completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership from Georgetown University in 2007 and a Masters of Medical Management from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles Marshall School of Business.

MEDICAL GROUP MANAGEMENT CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Fischer-Wright is most known as President and CEO of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), a position she assumed in 2015 following two years as Chief Medical Officer of St. Anthony North Health Campus in Westminster, Colo. As President and CEO of MGMA, Dr. Fischer-Wright oversees the financial health, human talent management, innovation initiatives, and strategic arm of MGMA. Highlights of her tenure as CEO include achieving significant revenue growth after several years of negative growth, leading MGMA’s Annual Conference strategic initiative to 30 percent growth over the 2015 conference, and a successful business reorganization for increased productivity.

She also sits on the Advisory Board of the University of Colorado Executive MBA/MHA Programs and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado.
